Dashboards
The dashboard page is the primary NimbusDash workspace. It brings together a NetSuite data source, an interactive grid, charts, saved views, formatting rules, sharing options, and export tools in one place.
What You Can Do
Section titled “What You Can Do”- Create a new dashboard from a Saved Search or NimbusQL query.
- Explore records in the grid using filters, sorting, grouping, pivoting, and column tools.
- Add charts and arrange dashboard widgets by dragging and resizing them.
- Save dashboards with a name, description, layout, filters, charts, views, links, and settings.
- Share dashboards publicly or with selected NetSuite roles and employees.
- Switch between Live Data and Cached Data depending on performance needs.
- Use keyboard shortcuts for common actions such as saving, adding charts, and working with Dash AI.
- Export grid data to CSV or Excel and export chart-based dashboards to PDF.
Typical Workflow
Section titled “Typical Workflow”- Open New Dashboard.
- Choose a Saved Search or NimbusQL query and click Next.
- Review the data in the grid.
- Filter, sort, group, pivot, or adjust columns as needed.
- Add charts if you want a visual dashboard.
- Save the dashboard and choose who can view or edit it.
- Reopen the saved dashboard from Load Dashboard.
- Refresh live data, refresh cached data, or export results when needed.
Main Dashboard Areas
Section titled “Main Dashboard Areas”Top Menu Bar
Section titled “Top Menu Bar”The top menu bar contains dashboard actions such as Save Dashboard, Add Chart, Reset Grid, Refresh Data Source, Views, Settings, Highlighting, and Export to PDF.

The grid is where you review and work with your data. You can filter rows, move columns, group records, use pivot mode, export data, and open the Filters, Columns, and Info side panels.
Chart And Widget Area
Section titled “Chart And Widget Area”Charts live alongside the grid as dashboard widgets. You can drag and resize widgets, edit chart settings, remove charts, or display chart data as a grid.
Save And Sharing Controls
Section titled “Save And Sharing Controls”The Save Dashboard modal controls the dashboard name, description, cache setting, and audience. You can make a dashboard public, share it with roles or employees, and optionally allow the audience to edit it.
