Prerequisites

NimbusDash runs inside NetSuite. It is not a standalone web app and does not provide a local product server for dashboard execution.

Before using NimbusDash, confirm that the target NetSuite account has the NimbusDash bundle installed and that the related Suitelet deployment, File Cabinet assets, custom records, and permissions are available.

NimbusDash depends on NetSuite features such as Suitelets, custom records, saved searches, SuiteQL, rendering, and background processing for cached dashboards.

Users need access to the NimbusDash Suitelet and the supporting records used by the app. Access is controlled by NetSuite roles, employee settings, script deployment settings, dashboard audience settings, and NimbusDash licensing.

A user may be able to open NimbusDash but still not see a specific saved dashboard if that dashboard has not been shared with them.

Dashboards can use either Saved Search or NimbusQL data sources.

For Saved Search dashboards, users should have access to the underlying NetSuite saved search and records.

For NimbusQL dashboards, the NimbusQL bundle and related records must be installed and available in the account. If NimbusQL is not installed, NimbusDash shows a message during data source selection.

Some behavior depends on the NimbusDash license state. Trial, expired, banned, or grace-period states can affect access and messaging. See Licensing for administrative details.
