Access Control
NimbusDash access is controlled by NetSuite permissions, dashboard audience settings, ownership, administrator access, and licensing state.
Suitelet Access
Section titled “Suitelet Access”Users must have access to the NimbusDash Suitelet deployment. If a user cannot open NimbusDash at all, first check the Suitelet deployment audience and their NetSuite role.
Dashboard Audience
Section titled “Dashboard Audience”Saved dashboards can be shared using:
- Public access.
- Selected NetSuite Roles.
- Selected Employees.
- Allow Audience to Edit.
A user can appear in the Load Dashboard list when they are included in the dashboard audience or when the dashboard is public.
View Vs Edit
Section titled “View Vs Edit”Users with view access can open and interact with a dashboard. Users with edit access can modify and save dashboard changes.
When a user does not have edit access, NimbusDash may hide edit actions such as Save Dashboard and Add Chart.
Owner And Administrator Access
Section titled “Owner And Administrator Access”Dashboard owners and administrators generally have broader access than regular viewers. They can often see and edit dashboards even when audience restrictions apply.
Troubleshooting Access
Section titled “Troubleshooting Access”If a user cannot see or edit a dashboard, check:
- Suitelet deployment access.
- Dashboard Public setting.
- Dashboard role audience.
- Dashboard employee audience.
- Allow Audience to Edit.
- User access to the underlying Saved Search or NimbusQL query.
- NimbusDash license status.
